"Afterwards he realised there's no gratifcation without digital stimulation"

It's time for an upgrade to our articles, no longer are we just text and still images, we now have the latest in motion and sound technology! That's right, we have videos! To celebrate this we've got three fun pieces for you:

First up are two pieces that debuted at march's GameCityNights event. The topic last month was about how we, as players, change the stories that we are involved in, no matter whether it's an sandbox world like Skyrim or a linear story like Half Life 2.

We are in control of the actions of our characters most of the time and everything we're doing alters that characterisation. Take Cloud Strife from FF7, an angsty former-solider out on a epic quest who, through our actions, is a massive kleptomaniac who will wander into people's houses and nick their stuff.

To that end, here is how a little action by the player can alter Gordon Freeman:

He's quite a different guy eh?

Next up we have this stupid music video that shows how, by tapping rather than holding forwards, you can turn any S.T.A.R.S agent into a dancing moron:

Finally a stupid little video that shows off the best part of Resident Evil 2, only with a more appropriate score:

There's more video content on the way soon so keep an eye on the new "Featured Videos" bar on the right hand side of the homepage where we'll be putting the latest videos for your amusement.
